ABOUT ME

Welcome!

I'm Jeremy and I've been on a journey exploring and creating many different forms of art and design, both for work and for pleasure throughout my life.

I grew up in Wellington New Zealand, and have had the privilege of having many different opportunities to grow my skills as an artist, across a range of fields throughout my career.

After excelling at art and graphic design subjects at College, I embarked on a Bachelor of Design degree at Massey University, and quickly began gravitating towards the digital areas of art and design. This was driven by my interest in computers and digital media, and steered me towards a major of 3d animation.

Following graduation I began my career in the film industry at Weta FX, working on James Cameron’s Avatar in 2009. Since this time I have continued gaining experience in numerous Post Production and VFX houses both locally and internationally, working on a variety of TVC and Feature Films. With 14 years of experience in this field, I've been fortunate to have contributed to many amazing projects, and collaborate with many other amazing artists along the way.

My time creating environments and cities in the layout department at Weta FX was a significant and rewarding part of my career, and my contributions were recognised in the form of various nominations and awards. Its a field I have always gravitated towards, as I love being able to create and build amazing visual spaces which can be viewed and enjoyed by many.

My desire to continue exploring new areas of art have in recent years has led me to the video games industry, where my passion for creating environments offers many incredible opportunities for world building.

Its been an fun and exciting journey so far, and I look forward to what the future holds for artists and the ever changing creative industries. The technology moves fast,  and becoming accustomed to continuously learning and expanding knowledge is all part of the journey, and the fun!
